Eva Perón is a legend and a phenomenon, one of the most mysterious figures in history. Questions and contradictions still surround her life to this day. Was she really the relentlessly ambitious woman who pushed past everyone on her way to power in order to achieve her goals? Or rather a young woman who, starting from the deepest poverty, found her own destiny – who recognised a great moment in history and within it the man, Juan Perón, with whom she could shape the future of a country?

The story of Evita’s rise may therefore not be simply about ambition. Rather, it is about passion, unwavering belief, and the force that is born when the destinies of two people become intertwined. Eva and Perón, strengthening one another, create that force which ultimately becomes a symbol of hope for millions.

This production of Evita therefore does not pass judgment. Rather, it asks questions. It does not offer a single truth, but presents a human story: that of a woman who devoted her entire life to supporting the cause and the man in whom she believed.

Perhaps this is precisely why this story still has such a deep impact today. Because behind the songs not only history speaks, but the blazing passion of life itself. The love that was capable of bringing out the most out of two people.

With lyrics written by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the story was first presented not on stage but in the form of an album released in 1976. The songs told the life of a woman who rose from the lowest social strata to reach the heart of a nation. After the success of the album, the stage version was created, which soon became a defining work of musical theatre stages around the world.
