There is a ball of cats, held on the ancient stage of the abandoned theater. The ball is held once a year and the whole neighborhood gathers for that - not the human, but the cat members of the neighborhood. But hey are all very much so endowed with human qualities They dance and sing their lives.

English poet T. S. Eliot’s poem series The Book of Cats was brilliantly musicalized by Andrew Lloyd Webber to give life to the fantastic, world-successful Cats musical. The Madách Theater presented Cats on March 25, 1983, directed by Tamás Szirtes and choreographed by László Seregi, right after the London premiere. In the past 38 years, the performance has been staged nearly 1,500 times and it was lucky to provide the stage for so many talented actors: the audience could applaud a total of more than 270 artists in various roles.
