Info
The Madách Theater presents a stage adaptation of the comedy A Study About Women, one of the most successful Hungarian films of the sixties, with the nostalgic hits of the era and the popular actors of the present. We know “you have to love, that’s all,” but what happens when three women decide, “I’m not going to be your toy,” so then “I should stop now”.
Zsuzsa, Éva and Jolán visit the young lawyer, Dr. Vera Képes, and tell her that “you see, this is love” and then hire her to handle their divorce cases. Vera throws herself into the first cases of her life with tremendous momentum, but slips on “a small mistake”. The three husbands realize: Vera must be “loved to the point of foolishness”. Even though our women feel, “I’m not a nervous person, for my peace of mind,” they realize that love must “be feared”. Hence they are trying to get the men back. And while “there’s no one who wouldn’t feel the need to cry once,” Madách Theater’s latest musical comedy, just like the movie, is sure to dry up all tears and brings serenity to everyday life. As the saying goes, "I speak my heart" but the point is, "do you want to?"
