She is a witty, wonderful young woman, who lives according to the customs of Moscow salons as the wife of an older man, until she falls deeply and passionately in love with a Dalmatian cavalry officer. The relationship causes a scandal in the internal and conventional social environment, and Anna's life turns into a tragedy. The rich emotional world and the outstanding literary piece inspired the composer, Tibor Kocsák, who found yet another form to represent the mastery of the piece. Music.
