Info
Tolstoy’s novel is an epic story about the power, beauty and vulnerability of women. Anna Karenina is one of
his most perfect work, the most exciting literary piece on love, passion and adultery. Anna Karenina is perhaps the most significant heroine of world literature. She is a witty, wonderful young woman, who lives according to the customs of Moscow salons as the wife of an older man, until she falls deeply and passionately in love with a Dalmatian cavalry officer. The relationship causes a scandal in the internal and conventional social environment, and Anna's life turns into a tragedy. The rich emotional world and the outstanding literary piece inspired the composer, Tibor Kocsák, who found yet another form to represent the mastery of the piece. Music. The beauty and the shocking truth of the story is raised to a whole new level by the wonderful melodies. It is a real literary and musical treat at the same time.
