Public Transport

Take metro line 2, buses 5, 7, 173 or 178 to Blaha Lujza square, metro line 1 to Oktogon, metro line 3 to Nyugati Railway Station. In all three cases, you can change to tram 4/6, which is 2-2 minutes walk to the Madách Theater from the Király and Wesselényi street stops as well. You can also choose trolleys 70 and 78 to Király street or trolley 74 to Wesselényi street.

Bus

Groups arriving by bus can stop in front of the main entrance for so long as group members get on and off.

Parking

Parking is possible on the surrounding streets, but it is usually difficult to find a parking space. Over the boulevard, you have to pay for parking until 18.00, on the boulevard until 20.00.

Accessibility in the building of Madách Theatre

  • Madách Színház (Grand Stage)

    Our guests arriving in wheelchairs for the performances of the Grand Stage can reach the ground floor of the auditorium without any obstacles. When purchasing tickets, please indicate your need for a wheelchair replacement ticket.

  • Madách Studio

    The auditorium of the Madách Studio is located on the second floor of the building, so accessing the Madách Studio may be difficult for our older guests, as the second floor can only be reached on foot.

    Due to the above mentionned endowments, Madách Studio is not wheelchair accessible.

  • Madách Studio, Tolnay Szalon

    The Madách Studio is located to the left of the theater's main entrance. The entrance opens from the stairwell on the ground floor from the left of house number 33,. From the staircase, a straight path leads to the foyer and cloakroom of the Tolnay Salon, which is also the cloakroom of the Madách Studio.

    The Tolnay Salon is handicap accessible.

  • Roof terrace

    The roof terrace is located on the third floor of the Theater Building and can be reached by stairs.

    The route is not handicap accessible.
